Two Design Collective projects have been named as Pillars of the Industry by the National Association of Home Builders. Domus in Philadelphia, Pa., was awarded the Best Midrise Apartment Community and The Residence at SouthPark in Charlotte, N.C., won the Best Mixed-Use Community. Located adjacent to University of Pennsylvania, Domus contains 290 residential loft units and 25,000 SF of ground level retail for the community to patronize. SouthPark, a new precedent for mixed-use communities, features 80,000 SF of ground level, high-end retail with 150 luxury residential units above 4,500 SF of amenity space. The Pillars of the Industry awards recognizes the best of the best in multifamily design. The awards were given out at a gala celebration at the 2008 Pillars of the Industry Conference on April 2 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
