Design Collective’s involvement in the Baltimore Chapter of the ACE Mentoring Program grew again this year as a devoted team provided collaborative mentoring to upwards of 35 students from both Mount Saint Joseph and Mount DeSales High Schools. This year, mentors from Design Collective took on a more proactive leadership role through weekly design charrettes that not only peaked student interest in various construction industry professions, but also engaged students to design a 28-story residential facility named ‘The Inlet at ACE Port’. This year’s program culminated with a stellar slide presentation and graphic board display by the students during the Baltimore Chapter’s annual scholarship awards dinner, which was also sponsored by Design Collective. Three of the six scholarships awarded this year went to Mount Saint Joseph students and one winner has been entered into ACE’s national scholarship selection process.
