Below are updates on some of the other major construction projects Towson University has undertaken in recent years.
A more perfect student union
Towson's University Union is getting a full renovation and an 85,000-square-foot addition. The new facility will feature expanded space for student activities and organizations as well as the Career Center, a 300-seat auditorium/theater, a 15,000-square-foot ballroom and a new food market featuring seven vendors. The first phase of the project is expected to debut in fall 2021.
"Our previous union was really outdated. The building was built for a university that was a third the size is it today," Perreault said. "This one will be huge and beautiful and was designed with the modern student in mind."
