Design Collective’s ongoing relationship with Federal Realty Investment Trust continues with the recent Phase II award of a new mixed-use development at Pike & Rose, formerly known as the Mid-Pike Redevelopment Project in Rockville. “Block 2” will be a high-rise mixed-use and multi-family residential tower featuring 182 units, approximately 8,600 square feet of retail and potential below-grade parking. The new Pike & Rose development will transform this premier site in suburban Maryland into a vibrant, 24-hour mixed-use community. The approved overall master plan includes: 1.7 million square feet of retail and over 1,500 residential units. Design Collective is wrapping up construction documents for the the first phase of redevelopment, Blocks 10 and 12, which contain approximately 600,000 square feet of residential space, 70,000 square feet of retail space and two parking garages containing over 500 spaces with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2012.
