Design Collective, Inc. and Howard Community College (HCC) celebrated the grand opening of the new Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall. Located at the heart of the campus, the 105,000 SF center is the anchor and focal point of the newly defined campus green.

The Student Services Hall features a welcome desk, a student lounge, the campus bookstore and a 200-seat dining room on the ground floor. The entrance lobby addressing the campus extends through the building and incorporates a dramatic three-story atrium and a grand open staircase. The building also offers students access to the admissions, registration, financial aid and academic counseling and testing offices all under one roof.

HCC marked the grand opening with a weeklong celebration, DragonFest, featuring fireworks displays, speakers, contests, wellness fairs and entertainment by Baltimore radio personalities. The $24 million Student Services Hall is the capstone of a seven-year, $80 million expansion of the campus that also includes the Elizabeth B. Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, another Design Collective project which opened last year.
