Stewart White, Design Collective’s resident architectural illustrator, was awarded the 2014 PleinAir Salon's Grand Prize at this year’s Plein Air Convention & Expo in Monterrey, California. In the spirit of the French Salon, created by the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, the PleinAir Salon consists of six bi-monthly contests, culminating in an annual final competition. All entries must be landscape related, with figures and still life in outdoor settings. As the Grand Prize winner, Stewart received a check for $15,000 and his artwork will adorn the cover of PleinAir Magazine later this year. The Plein Air Convention & Expo attracts over 700 artists from all over the world, including more than 70 of the world’s top artists and Plein Air Masters.
