The prominence of Chestertown’s waterfront is paramount to the town’s success and vibrancy. Our work in Chestertown is centered around reimagining an underutilized parking lot on the waterfront, transforming it into a premier gathering spot on the picturesque Chester River. Chestertown is celebrated for its annual Tea Party Festival and Downrigging Festival, events that draw thousands of visitors and showcase the town’s rich history and vibrant community spirit. By repositioning this waterfront property, we are creating a dynamic venue for music and programming during these large events, enhancing the festival experience. On typical weekends, the expanded Farmers Market will flourish in this area, forging a stronger connection between residents and the serene waters. Additionally, on weekdays and nights, this space will come alive with food trucks, maximizing the potential of this invaluable asset and infusing new life into the waterfront.
