Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets

Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, a project of Chelsea Property Group, is located just off of Interstate 95, approximately 20 miles north of New Haven, Connecticut. Completed in 1996 and located adjacent to the historic New England shoreline of Long Island Sound, this 200,000 square foot center features premier fashion and apparel retailers such as Barney's New York, Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Nautica, and Liz Claiborne.

The design of the center is based on the charming residential scale architecture of the nearby waterfront towns and villages, and it projects a simple and classic elegance, that is both flattering to the retailer as well as familiar and comfortable for the shopper.

In addition to the "classic New England" flavor of the architecture, Clinton Crossing is also characterized by several unique site features. An intimately-scaled covered pedestrian bridge, spanning a protected wetlands area of the site, connects the two major sections of the project. Also, a considerable amount of the abundant subsurface rock, excavated for foundation work, was crushed and reused as gabion retaining walls around the wetlands and storm water retention areas.
