Brentford At The Mile

With the success of The Mile’s phase 1 project Highgate, Kettler reengaged Design Collective to design phase two’s mixed-use parcel, fronting the new park between the projects. Unique to office and vehicular-driven Tysons, The Mile masterplan includes over 6 acres of public park, a new retail corridor, pedestrian and bike oriented circulation, and a mix of residential, office, and hotel ensuring 24/7 vibrancy. Overlooking the pond, Brentford At The Mile engages the park with two large portals allowing the natural landscape to infuse the two inner courtyards with greenery, giving all units a sense of connection to the landscape beyond. The clubhouse wraps three sides of the pool deck courtyard, with a uniquely thin glazed lobby, maximizing visual connectivity from street to pool. Ground floor units are designed to convert to over 20,000sf of retail as future neighborhood density increases. 410 units span 500,000 gsf with 2,000sf of initial retail and 485 parking spaces.
