National Aquarium - Pyramid Roof Replacement

The National Aquarium needed to replace the iconic pyramid skylight due to age and system failures. The project took a previous concept study and, working with a green house expert and the Aquarium staff, the team reached a design for the glass matrix that was a balance of energy efficiency, defuse light and proper UV levels for the unique amazon rainforest habitat that the National Aquarium desired. The final solution allows for an environmentally friendly design for the building and the inhabitants in the rainforest inside!
