Prometric is a trusted test development and delivery provider to more than 400 organizations worldwide. On their behalf Prometric delivers an average of 10 million exams per year to people who are seeking to improve their lives, whether by starting a new career, further developing their skills to improve on an existing one, or adding to their qualifications for a promotion.
With the wellbeing and career advancement of Prometric’s own employees in mind, Design Collective was hired to design their new global operations and call center in White Marsh, Maryland. The directive from senior leadership was clear: design a workplace for knowledge workers and client service representatives that was reflective of Prometric’s culture of openness, transparency and inclusion. The message would be clear – everyone in the organization is equally important and responsible for the success of the company.
To that end Design Collective renovated an existing 60,000 SF facility that expresses the open and transparent nature of the organization. An open and collaborative design solution was embraced by Prometric and where more traditional spaces were needed to provide more focused and private tasks, glass partitions were used. Systems workstations were used throughout and integrated into neighborhoods, each anchored by an environmental graphics package to further reinforce the global nature of their work.
To further engage both visitors and staff alike, Prometric’s signature colors and their branded “radiance” motif were used throughout the facility to further reinforce their brand.
